The Upgrade Gauge is a small circular bar exclusive to DmC: Devil May Cry, which sits above the Red Orbs counter in the bottom-right corner of the HUD. It is shown as bars underneath Griffon's and Shadow's symbol and represents their vitality before they can get stalemated, preventing V from utilizing them when depleted. The Familiar Gauges are unique to V and are exclusive to Devil May Cry 5. Griffon's (leftmost) and Shadow's (to the right) Vitality Gauges. Once depleted, Sparda will return to Trish. When using Round Trip this gauge will open up and the red around the jewel will deplete. Trish's Sparda Gauge resembles the sword, predominantly the metallic point and red jewel. It functions similarly to the Ex-Gauge in that once the bullet-like gauge fills, one of the round slots opens revealing a jewel of sorts. Lady's Firearm Gauge resembles a pistol and serves to show what level her guns are charged at and for how long the charge remains. It looks like orange grenades and denotes power and range of the Burst Attack (at least 3 levels required for the attack). The Burst Gauge replaces the Devil Trigger Gauge for Lady. Concentration is lost completely by getting hit, decreased by running past enemies or missing attacks and severely lost by running past enemies with Speed. Concentration can be gained by successfully landing attacks, walking (Lock-on must be held) or standing still. It is represented by a blue line and has three levels, each one increasing the power of his moves. The Concentration Gauge is a gauge unique for Vergil and appears in Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. In Devil May Cry 5, Styles are leveled up using Red Orbs. In Devil May Cry 4, Styles are leveled up with Proud Souls, just like weapons and firearms. This gauge can be found on the left of the Vitality and Devil Trigger Gauges.
The amount of experience gained depends on the type of enemy defeated. As a player uses a style and defeats enemies, the Style Gauge fills with experience points. The Style Gauge is only available in Devil May Cry 3. In Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 it has the gauge just below the stylish rank. The Stylish Rank Gauge can always be found at the right portion of the screen. The Stylish Rank Gauge is one of the most important parts of gameplay and can be found in the whole Devil May Cry game series. It appears above the regular Devil Trigger Gauge and is filled by transferring energy from it through the move Accumulate. It indicates the amount of demonic energy required to unleash their ultimate Devil form. The Sin Devil Trigger Gauge is a gauge available to both Dante and Vergil and appear in Devil May Cry 5 (and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition).
